Permanent Team Member

About the Role

Y Caffi at Greenfield Valley is looking for a confident, positive, and permanent staff member to help run our new, community-minded café. You’ll play a key role in creating a warm welcome for visitors, supporting our friendly team, and keeping the café running smoothly day-to-day.

This is an ideal role for someone with cooking, hospitality, or customer-service experience who enjoys leading by example and cares about great service, great food, and great teamwork.

What You’ll Be Doing

As Permanent team member, you will:

• Ensure our light menu items are prepared safely, consistently, attractively and to a high standard.
• Maintain high standards of customer care, presentation, and team communication.
• Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and equipment standards are met before, during, and after service, following Food Hygiene, Health & Safety, COSHH and fire regulations.
• Ensure staff use the EPOS system correctly and that information is recorded accurately for business analysis
• Be a main point of contact for customer queries and feedback during your shift.
• Support marketing, promotions, and event-related café activity to maximise sales opportunities..
• Work collaboratively with CIC Directors, Visitor Centre staff, Flintshire County Council teams and other partners to ensure excellent customer experience and site safety.

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has cooking experience.
• Has experience in hospitality, retail, or customer service.
• Enjoys leading a team and helping others develop.
• Stays calm, friendly, and professional during busy periods.
• Communicates clearly and contributes positively to team meetings.
• Understands food hygiene, health & safety, or is willing to learn.
• Is reliable, organised, and comfortable taking responsibility.
• Takes pride in creating a welcoming, well-run café environment
